Traction on Demand Looks to Hire Key Positions, Prepares for Event Later This Month

Canadian cloud technology services firm Traction on Demand is experiencing strong traction of its own.

The Vancouver-based company was recently named Canada’s third-best employer in the medium-sized business category, which Traction says was a result of “its unwavering commitment to operating on socially conscious business practices.” (The company offers more insight into that here.)

“Traction is an organization born with an obsession with the question ‘why’ and we’ve broken a lot of business paradigms as a result of this,” explains CEO and founder Greg Malpass. “I will be the first to admit that we’ve often made things more difficult for ourselves by ‘rethinking’ a lot of this business; at the center of every decision is careful consideration around people, relationships and community. In fact, we consider ourselves a community, not a company.”

This “community,” like most good employers, is seemingly constantly hiring. Currently they’re looking for a strategic solutions manager and a business solutions consultant, among other positions.

And on top of all that, Traction is preparing to host TractionForce 2014, a free Vancouver event. Slated for May 27 at the Commodore Ballroom, TractionForce is “all about improving existing frameworks and processes with cloud-based solutions that provide more value to clients to allow for scale and continual growth,” according to the company.

But beyond awards and events, Traction’s traction comes from its grounded and consistent philosophy of blazing a straight trail.

“When we say we are unrelenting, we really mean that,” the company states. “We don’t give up; we never settle or compomise.”
