Transfer money with Western Union and the Zoompass Wallet app

Western Union and EnStream, creators of the Zoompass Mobile Wallet, announced yesterday a strategic alliance that will allow Zoompass users to send domestic and cross-border money transfers directly from their mobile phones.

Zoompass provides Canadians with an innovative way to send, receive and request digital currency within Canada using their mobile phones. With the launch of the service later this year, Zoompass users in Canada will be able to send funds directly from their mobile wallets. Recipients will be able to pick up their funds in cash at more than 380,000 Western Union Agent locations in 200 countries and territories.

The launch of the service later this year will mark the first time that Canadians can send cross-border mobile money transfers with Western Union. Mobile users can currently send and receive money within Canada using the Zoompass wallet application for the Apple iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and other devices.

The Zoompass Wallet application can be downloaded in Beta version by visiting www.zoompass.com on a mobile device or on the web.
