Travel Conference Agenda Revealed Online

Posted by Rob Lewis on Mon, January 28, 2008 9:25 AM · Filed under Calgary , Web 2.0, Events · 1 Comment

Online Revealed, the online marketing conference for Canadian travel industry professionals, has announced it agenda and speaker line-up for 2008. After its inaugural event in 2006 in Ottawa, followed by last years conference in Toronto, Online Revealed is making it's way West and takes place in Calgary this May. Considering the 2010 Olympic Winter Games are right around the corner, my guess is that the 2009 conference will touch down in Vancouver.

Online Revealed appeals to both ends of the online maketing learning curve covering topics such as search engine optimization, content syndication, revenue management, and Web 2.0. Newbies can sit in on Yahoo! Canada's Search Marketing 101 session or a Couple of Chicks Site Clinic while online veterans can absorb Douglas Walker's Build a Community track. Walker is the Experiential Marketing Director for Venture Communications and was a co-founder of the Rock, Paper, Scissors World Championship.

Online Revealed looks like the must attend event in 2008 for hospitality professionals, agencies and suppliers looking to understand how the Internet has changed tourism marketing.

You know, I submitted to speak at this conference. I guess I didn't get selected, which is fair enough, but I never got a response--not even a 'thanks but no thanks'.

I thought that was rather tacky. At Northern Voice, we always send an email to everybody who submits.
