Montreal's Tribal Nova and ODD1 announced today that they have signed a commercial and strategic partnership agreement that will see Tribal Nova transfer its game production division in exchange for an equity stake in ODD1.

According to their press release, the partnership will benefit both companies by strengthening the expertise of each and by leveraging their complementary activities in online gaming sector for children aged 3 to 12.

Current projects and the employees working on them will be included in the transfer. As an affiliate studio, ODD1 will develop future games that will be produced and marketed by Tribal Nova as part of its distribution and development services of online children’s games and virtual worlds.

According to Tribal Nova Co-CEO Guillaume Aniorté, “This alliance enables us to focus on operating online gaming services and virtual worlds for children, which has high growth potential, while continuing game production activities through an affiliate studio that we know well and trust to produce high quality games.”
