Tungle expands reach with Lotus Notes Integration

Montreal's Tungle demonstrated a version of its free Tungle offering for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino today at IBM’s Lotusphere conference in Orlando. This rounds out Tungle's integration with all leading business calendar systems including Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCal and Entourage for Mac.

The announcement is big since, according to IBM, more than half of the Fortune Global 100 now use Lotus Notes and Domino. This includes more than 80 percent of the largest banks, consumer product, electronics, insurance, pharmaceutical and telecommunications companies -- as well as more than 50 percent of America's largest 100 companies.

Tungle gives professionals the control and flexibility to propose multiple meeting times in invitations, create a personal scheduling page,  invite others to book meetings with them and share calendars across companies, platforms and time zones, without giving up their existing calendars.

And there's an App for that - Tungle.me for iPhone allows users to create, send and receive meeting invitations and share calendars wherever they go, with valuable functionality, such as auto-suggest scheduling and at-a-glance availability. Later this quarter, Tungle will also offer a version for Blackberry smartphones.

Tungle Corp.’s Tungle.me makes scheduling meetings easy--across organizations, calendar systems and time zones--by eliminating the multiple emails, phone calls and double bookings that typically come with finding a time to meet.  Tungle.me synchronizes with leading online calendar systems including Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Entourage for Mac, and Lotus Notes (Beta), and does not require visitors to sign in or register to schedule meetings.  Tungle.me supports scheduling meetings on-the-go with , which is available for free download in the App Store.

Founded in 2006, the Montreal-based company is venture-backed by investors Commonwealth Capital Ventures, JLA Ventures and Desjardins Venture Capital.
