Turning social transactions into micro and macro cash

Social Media is rapidly transforming the way people work, play and interact, but like almost everything else on the Internet (other than pornography) it’s been a challenge to find ways to monetize the nascent medium. But New Media BC aims to change that with a seminar being held at the Work at Play offices on “Velocity - Social Media Monetization." The seminar will cover strategies around microtransactions and other monetization models in online communities, virtual worlds and massive multiplayer games. The seminar is $25 for members, $35 for non-members, and starts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday March 19th at 5:30 p.m.
