Twitter adds Vancouver and Montréal to its Trends tool, just in time for the Playoffs

Obviously, the folks at Twitter know Canadians like their hockey.

What else could explain the company's timely decision to add Vancouver and Montréal to its list of Trends—they're the only two cities in Canada with teams entering the NHL Playoffs.

Good ol' Toronto has been on the Trends list since 2010, but Vancouver and Montréal have earned their spots, as Twitter determines new additions to its Trends tool based on tweets emerging from the area.
