An entertaining debate is raging over the Top 100 Twitterer list in Portland at the SiliconFlorist blog. Local startup Twitalyzer and Rick Turoczy have conspired to drum up a little (good natured) controversy.
Several commenters have pointed out that prolific Twitterer Aaron Hockley (@ahockley), with almost 19,000 tweets to his name, was left off the list. Perhaps the Twitalyzer algorithm has a built in bias against the 'Couv where he lives. @ahockley is the Al Gore of Twitter and deserves a full recount :)
Twitalyzer, a local Portland startup, has created a very interesting system for ranking Twitter users. The Top 100 can be seen here. I give them kudos for not ranking @aplusk #1.
As for lowly ol' me? My ranking is 0.8 out of a possible 100. I've got some work to do.
