Score Media's ScoreMobile FC

Score Media, the parent of The Score Television Network, theScore.com, Hardcore Sports Radio and ScoreMobile, has launched ScoreMobile FC, a free new app for Blackberry. (iPhone, and Android-OS mobile devices available very soon, according to them.)

The app features include live scores, stats and standings for more than 30 international soccer leagues (soon to be 50 leagues), original video content, all the latest soccer news and highlights, live blogs for every key game, and game odds.

“The Score is a revolutionary sports media company who believes in technological innovation,” says Dale Fallon, Director of Mobile for Score Media Inc.  “One of our key strategies is to invest in and promote mobile media and we know that the portability of content is extremely important to consumers worldwide. Sports fans have proven the worth of ScoreMobile by downloading it, using it and spreading the word. Now we’re taking that to the next level by releasing an app for dedicated soccer fans – just in time for the most incredible sporting event of the year, the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.”

Download ScoreMobile FC from BlackBerry App World. And look for it in Apple’s App Store and Android Market.

Polar Mobile's WC2010

Polar Mobile has launched WC2010, a free mobile app exclusive to Blackberry smartphone users. WC2010 is a fully integrated World Cup experience. Polar, which provides mobile solutions, specializes in the sports vertical and has delivered sports apps for Sports Illustrated, The Hockey News, CBS Sports March Madness, Rogers Sportnet, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

“Launching the WC2010 is another step in Polar’s Global expansion strategy”, says Kunal Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Polar Mobile. “This is Polar’s first app to be offered in five different languages, we intend to reach out to the large presence of BlackBerry smartphones users in Europe who are avid football fans."

The Blackberry app features a unique sorting function that enables users to arrange game schedules and stats for their favourite teams. Offering a neat tabbed layout, WC2010 enables users to navigate efficiently through the app to access editorial news, scores, stats, schedules and standings—on the go and in real time. WC2010 is supported in five languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.
