Two unseen next-gen BlackBerry commercials leak online ahead of product releases

BBLeaks has unveiled two commercials that advertise next-gen BlackBerry models, the "Bold Touch Dakota 9900" and the "Touch 9860 Monza," AKA the Bold with touchscreen and the Storm 3.

The commercials are similar and involve app icons floating through a cityscape, bouncing off people using BlackBerrys throughout the urban setting. While I'm a fan of Research in Motion and enjoyed their Super Apps series, these commercials seem cripplingly ineffective: Why would RIM not advertise the fact that the new Bold has a touchscreen? That is its new biggest selling feature, and the commercial does so nothing to inform you of that.

Visually, they're neat ads, but they come up short of letting people know why RIM smartphones are still some of the best out there.

Check out both videos on YouTube here (9900), and here (9860).
