eBC Presents: 2 Years in Web 2.0 Land: What I Learned

The Ottawa eBusiness Cluster invites you to attend their monthly networking event with guest speaker, Owen Byrne, Senior Manager of Travelpod Labs. 2 Years in Web 2.0 Land: What I Learned will highlight Byrne's experiences working for Digg.com in Silicon Valley and the implications for businesses growing outside of the Valley.

Owen Byrne is currently Senior Manager of Travelpod Labs, where he is leading a crack team of developers building a large travel-related application for launch in February 2009. He is probably best known as the co-founder and original developer of Digg.com, which at one point was the 55th largest website in the world according to alexa.com. He was the primary technical decision maker there for most of its period of explosive growth, from inception to the Series A financing.

The event takes place on Wednesday, January 21st at bitHeads and is free of charge. Please rsvp to mdascal@ocri.ca if you'd like to attend.
