Upcoming Edmonton Tech Events
Now that we're officially into fall and everyone is back at work/school, local user groups are reorganizing and the number of events taking place will start to increase again. Here in Edmonton, there are three upcoming tech events you may be interested in.
The Edmonton Agile Methods User Group (EAMUG) exists to advance Agile methodologies in the Edmonton area. Their upcoming meeting will feature Michael McCullough, one of the two presenters behind a very popular session at the recent Agile 2008 conference in Toronto called "The Agile Playground - Learning Games for the Agile Practitioner". Here's the abstract:
This fun, energetic, and interactive session will explore techniques for accelerating the adoption and understanding of Agile principles through experiential learning. The audience will participate in games and exercises that will illustrate how to target unique learning Vectors (Physical, Emotional, and Impressional) to maximize understanding. This session is for anyone looking to learn new and powerful techniques to convey and reinforce the concepts and principles behind Agile.
Michael will be presenting a shortened, 60-minute version of the session on Friday, September 26th at a lunch event. Here are the details:
