Upverter Helps Hardware Engineers Find Stuff with ‘Parts Concierge’

Upverter has launched the Parts Concierge, which it claims is the world’s first virtual assistant for engineers.

Parts Concierge allows hardware engineers to request any part be built and added to their design on their behalf. Parts are created by a team of Upverter component engineers in real time.

Before the Upverter Parts Concierge, hardware engineers had to spend hours combing through PDFs created by manufacturers like Intel and Texas Instruments to find and recreate designs for each part used in their hardware designs. All requested parts created by Upverter are verified for accuracy and join a parts library accessible to all users, the former Techvibes 20 company says.

The average hardware design includes hundreds of unique parts, the creation of which can often take weeks before an engineer can even begin designing the rest of their product. The Upverter Parts Concierge is a dramatic leap forward for the industry, according to the startup.

“Parts have been a major pain point for hardware developers for decades,” Zak Homuth, CEO, said. “Today, we’re changing the way hardware gets designed forever. Now companies using Upverter can trust the parts in their designs and engineers can focus on what they do best. We’re saving our customers time and money and bringing the ondemand economy to hardware engineers.”
