Utilitran is streaming the ordering supply chain system for convenience stores. At the same time, they are also making the billing easier for convenience stores after they’ve ordered. They use an internet based system that uses a hand held scanner for ordering at the retailer level.

Recurring revenue streams are broken into three streams, the manufacturers, the distributors and retailers, who pay a small reporting fee. They provide a more robust reporting system than their competition, while also providing the ordering system as well.

They are in the business of standardizing the industry and have software that can be used with any scanning device.

Utilitran has been working at this since 2000 and was founded by Brad Fogal, George Bears and Steve Webber.
