Vancouver-born Zite Launches iPhone App
Vancouver-born Zite has launched its app for the iPhone.
Zite, Canada's answer to Flipboard that was recently acquired by CNN for $20 million, has launched an iPhone version of its popular—and once controversial—iPad app. The iPhone version is largely similar, as would be expected, and can sync with your iPad version should you have one. Users can create an account but, like on the iPad, this is an optional feature.

The rising interest in "smart," magazine-style content aggregators on mobile devices has trigged many carbon copies. But users really only need one of these apps, so while competition is thick, there isn't much room for multiple leaders. That makes Flipboard and Zite's early-mover advantages huge.
