Vancouver Canary Derby Race To The Steamclock

Vancouver, get ready to start your engines! Following a successful third annual Canary Derby in Victoria on June 14 that raised $140,000 for the Canary Foundation on behalf of the BC Cancer Foundation, the Canary Derby Race To The Steamclock will take place on Sunday, September 21 in Gastown.

Vancouver technology companies are being challenged to design and build soap box cars that will be raced by CEOs to raise money for the Canary Foundation. There's a 30-team limit and many companies have already signed on, so competitors are advised to register ASAP.

“It is inspiring to see the tech community and their families come together in an effort to raise awareness for advancing science for cancer research," says driver Dale Gann of the Vancouver Island Technology Park. "Collectively, by forming these partnerships in our community, we ensure that our fight against cancer is one that is strong and focused.”
