Vancouver telecom startups up for Silicon Valley awards

Next month the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley is hosting their SPIFFY Awards that recognize the most outstanding telecommunications start-ups and two Vancouver-based companies have been nominated.

Mingleverse has been nominated for the Core Award for Best Fixed Telecom Opportunity and Mobidia has made the short-list for the Zephyr Award for Best Mobile Opportunity.

What's with the name of the awards? The SPIFFY Awards are judged by the members of the Service Provider Forum (SPiF) of the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley.

The SPIFFY Awards are on February 25th at the Aquarius Theater in Palo Alto.
