Vancouverite Angela Byron is the first woman to earn a cover story in Linux Journal

Posted by Knowlton Thomas

Angela Byron is a Vancouverite and, among the open-source CMS Drupal community, a rock star.

In fact, she will become the first woman to be featured on the cover of the Linux Journal, the Linux community's top magazine, in its April issue.

Angela's passion for open-source software has been present for nearly two decades, noting in an interview with Linux Journal that in the mid-90s she was "both intrigued and excited by the profound humanitarian implications of the free software movement."

She taught herself Drupal and is now heavily involved in the Drupal community, acting as co-maintainer of the software's framework and a true master of her craft.
