Vancouver's 2011 Lotus Awards, now open for entries, celebrate online creativity in B.C.

The 2011 Lotus Awards are now open for entries.

The Lotus Awards, established in 1989, started out as an avenue of recognition for the B.C. community to admire creative advertising.

Since then, it has expanded in adaption of new technology, now acknowledging creative advertising efforts in the interactive and social media spaces.

In the digital realm, Lotus now honours agencies, companies, and individuals for "Best Website or Microsite," "Best Online Advertising Campaign," and "Best Multi-Platform Social Media Campaign," and more.

The deadline for entries is 4pm on Tuesday September 6. Lotus 3.0, the awards gala, happens November 10.
