Vancouver's Clio is Best in Show

In the world of legal technology, Clio–the Vancouver designed web-based software pratice management tool is on top of its game.  It not only took home top honors at New York LegalTech in February, but more recently landed on the “Best in Show” list at the ABA TECHSHOW.

According to many, Clio, which caters to sole practitioners or small firm attorneys– is an easy way to manage ones practice information online.  A correspondent for TechnoLawyer Mazar Hedayat said,

Built in Ruby on Rails (geeky but important), Clio looks familiar, is easy to master, and is effective even for a sole practitioner — yet it can handle hundreds of users without sacrificing security or functionality. Clio introduced offline functionality at TechShow as well, so that even when the Internet is down the application can keep time then re-synchronize itself as soon as you're online. The Clio practice management suite also allows users to collaborate securely with clients.

Secure and easy-to-use, Clio provides the following: Case and matter management, time tracking, billing and reporting, client contact and document management, task scheduling, trust accounting, and performance metrics. Clio is operating system-independent and can run on PC, Macintosh and Linux computers. It costs $49 per month for lawyers and $25 per month per support staff.
