Vancouver's social shopping site Cargoh bursts out of beta

Vancouver's Cargoh.com, a social shopping site that aims to bring products to their users by hand-selecting the vendors that sell on the site, is officially out of beta.

Founded in 2010, Cargoh has curators who sift through submissions and source products from artists and designers around the world. The site currently boasts 10,000 registered users and 500 sellers and sells products from Stylish Home Decor to Fashionable Jewelry, and Classic Typography to Minimalist Surface Graphics.

"Cargoh.com recreates the real world experience of shopping in a hip boutique rather than a neighborhood garage sale." says Cariann Burger, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Cargoh. "Our community consists of extremely creative sellers who take the design and presentation of their work very seriously, and it presents a great opportunity for buyers to get their hands on some extraordinary products, directly from the makers."

“From the first time I browsed through the incredible mix of products on Cargoh.com, I knew it was a marketplace that would attract the type of customers who share my love for design,” says Erin Sinclair, owner of LaLa Terrariums

"Since joining Cargoh in 2010, two things have really stood out to me. They gave me the opportunity to build a brand while maintaining my independence as an artist and delivered support to me at every step along the way,” says Julie Sperling, owner of Superfly Lullabies.
