Vancouver's SplitMango and Patio Social collab to launch B2B Facebook app, Pholiofy

Two Vancouver digital agencies, SplitMango Media and Patio Social, have joined forces to launch a new Facebook app for businesses.

Pholiofy will allow businesses and nonprofit organizations create their own custom Facebook landing pages using the WordPress platform. The first of its kind in Canada, Pholiofy claims to be the first business-to-business app to use WordPress for Facebook landing page development and administration. It fills "a huge need" for businesses of all sizes. By using the WordPress platform, businesses will be able to create a professional landing page for Facebook "in under 15 minutes."

Pholiofy also allows businesses to have a fan gate, letting people who have “liked” their page see additional content and information.

“We are thrilled with the launch of Pholiofy,” said Megan Halkett, Principal of Patio Social Inc. “This product allows businesses to have high quality Facebook landing tabs that equal or out-do any of the major consumer brands in the United States. More importantly, it allows businesses to manage the pages themselves without needing to call their website developers or graphic designer—allowing instant changes for events, promotions and news-worthy or crisis situations.”

With recent changes at Facebook, creating a custom landing page has gotten complicated and cumbersome for the novice website manager or marketing team.

“With changes at Facebook happening on a daily basis, we worked to develop a product that would make the lives of marketing and communications staff a little easier,” said David Miller, Managing Director, SplitMango Media. “There are so many businesses that neglect their Facebook pages once a promotion is over or only work intermittently with their website developers or graphic designers. We wanted to ensure that businesses use and maximize the vast audiences available to them through Facebook in a cost effective way.”

Businesses have an opportunity to connect with over 50% of Canadians just through Facebook alone.

“Everyone who we have demonstrated this product to has been ecstatic– from marketers at large brands to small businesses. This is the first product that allows them freedom to do what they want without budget constraints of constantly hiring a developer - in the current economic climate this is where marketers need to go,” said Lisa Wills, Product Developer at Pholiofy. “With Facebook’s new Timeline look, this will ensure BC businesses have their best face forward as people spend even more time on Facebook.”
