Vancouver-based discount wireless carrier Wind Mobile's plans to launch in Kitchener-Waterloo are more solidified than ever.
Now with an August launch date (previously in September), Wind has begun its hiring spree. The store is under construction, too, and Wind has decided to give away $10,000 to a "new or existing" project that makes a "positive change" in the Waterloo region.
Quoth Wind from Facebook:
WIND Mobile is bringing wireless change to Kitchener-Waterloo this summer, and we want to bring change to the community, too. We want to hear your suggestion for a worthy project that deserves the grant! Just make sure that the project you nominate is affiliated with a recognized group like a registered Canadian charity and the project itself will make an improvement in the Waterloo Region.
