Vancouver's Yaletown Venture Partners expands into Seattle

Yaletown Venture Partners announced today at the Venture Northwest Conference in Portland, that one of its founding partners, Kirk Washington, has established a full-time office in Seattle to capitalize on the strong investment opportunities in the cleantech sector in the Northwest.

Yaletown already has a strong presence in the Northwest with investments in EnerG2, a clean energy storage company, based in Seattle with operations in Oregon; Mixpo, a video advertising technology provider in Seattle with a product development team in Victoria, BC; and Thetus, an enterprise software company based in Portland.

While Washington will be based in Seattle (that doesn't quite sound right, does it?) and lead cleantech investmentsin the Northwest, he will continue to work on cleantech deals in all regions where Yaletown has a focus and serve on the boards of CoolEdge Lighting, Endurance Wind Power, EnerG2, LaCima and Microstaq.
