The Vancouver Enterprise Forum's mandate is to advance technology entrepreneurship through networking forums that educate and motivate. Their upcoming long-titled event should do exactly that. Serious Cash - War Stories From the Frontlines of Early-Stage Technology Company Financing will be moderated Heather Conradi of GrowthWorks and highlight anecdotes from the trenches of early-stage technology financing.

The speaker roster includes Vancouver startup veterans Danny Robinson of Strutta and Jonathan Bixby of Strangeloop Networks. Robinson has raised more than $100 million from investors for his various technology venture successes. Bixby raised $11.5 million in funding from angel investors, one of the largest rounds of private Series A financing for a technology start-up in Canadian history.

This networking event (and dinner) will be of interest to business entrepreneurs in every industry and provide a unique forum for networking with members of the technology community including some top local VCs. The event is on Tuesday, October 23 and will be at the Telus World of Science World. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with presentations beginning precisely at 6:45 p.m.
