Suite101.com announced today that they have hired Colin Smith as their new Editor-in-Chief. Smith will be leading Suite101's online writers and editors be tasked with continuing their growth trajectory that dates back to 1996. Suite101 currently has over 12 Million unique visitors per month and sits at #3 on Techvibes Canadian startup index.
Smith, a veteran journalist and modern media pioneer, joins the Suite101.com after a multifaceted career in writing, editing and publishing. In 1994, he was co-publisher and managing editor of Euphony, a weekly web magazine based in Vancouver that garnered a million visitors a month. After being wooed back to traditional media as a news editor for Canwest's Canada.com network, Smith was appointed lead web producer to manage their automotive portal Driving.ca.
Smith joins a team of 20 employees at their head office in Yaletown.
