VIATeC accepting nominations for 2010 VIATeC 25 list
VIATeC, the non-profit society representing Victoria’s local technology community, and KPMG have announced that they will begin accepting nominations for the 2010 “VIATeC 25” list today.
The VIATeC 25 annually lists the largest technology companies headquartered or founded in Greater Victoria, based on 2010 estimated calendar revenue. Companies qualifying for the VIATeC 25 will be announced at the VIATeC Christmas Party on December 2nd, and will also be listed on the VIATeC website and in the media.
To be eligible for inclusion in the VIATeC 25, a company must meet the following requirements:
- Be a legally incorporated technology company founded, or with headquarters, in Greater Victoria, and currently carrying on operations in Greater Victoria.
- Complete and submit the VIATeC 25 Nomination Form no later than November 19th, 2010.
- The Company must not have been declared bankrupt by a competent authority.
- The Company must not have filed a notice of intent to file a proposal pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act or any similar legislation in connection with the Company.
- The Company must not cease doing business as a going concern or become insolvent or make an assignment proposal or reorganization for the benefit of creditors.
- The Company cannot institute bankruptcy or receivership proceedings affecting the company or any of its assets.
In past years, eligible companies had a minimum estimated calendar revenue of $4 million. For more information, contact mgaetz@viatec.ca.
