Victoria's Urban Hunt'r a unique social challenge for all to enjoy

by Knowlton Thomas | Startups

Urban Hunt'r is a fresh web startup. Founded in Victoria, Urban Hunt'r is a unique scavenger-hunt style game, but with photos, using your phone or camera in real life. Each week there is a new game, and each day there is a photo challenge.

Earning points by submitting photos and having people vote on their photos, users receive challenges by text or email every Monday morning—an example challenge is "Take a picture of a #RedBalloon for 50 points, and send"—and then submit them to the site via email with the appropriate hashtag within 24 hours.

There is also the Shotgun Round, a randomly distributed challenge that awards only the very fastest person to complete the challenege.

Points from all these challenges can be cashed in at the Rewards Den.

While it needs to gain traction before it becomes a truly fun and social experience, the concept has potential to catch on. So check it out and let us know what you think.
