Vortex Boot Camp – Competition Registration deadline extended

The Vortex Videogame Competition is taking place in Toronto on November 3rd - 5th and today they announced that they have extended their deadline for entries to October 27th.

The Vortex Competition is a forum for emerging digital media entrepreneurs, where aspiring video game developers have the opportunity to craft their business and technical skills through education sessions at the Vortex Boot Camp on November 3rd.

This year’s competitors are invited to submit their one-page game synopsis for either concepts or prototypes for evaluation by a review panel of experts for a chance to make the pitch to a jury at the Vortex Competition. Four finalists will be selected to compete in the finals taking place on November 5th in front of a judging panel which includes Ubisoft CEO Yannis Mallat and Kevin O’Leary from CBC’s Dragon’s Den and ABC’s Shark Tank.

The winner of Vortex will receive a prize package is worth tens of thousands of dollars and includes $4,000 cash, one-on-one mentoring with industry gurus, and distribution and publishing on mac and pc platforms for your game.
