It's been a pretty slow roll-out, but Facebooks much-hyped Timeline feature is now officially available for anyone who wants it.
While it won't be automatically implemented for users until December 22nd, Facebookers can opt-in for Timeline right now. Just go to Facebook's timeline page and click "Get It Now." Boom, done.
Facebook Timeline visualizes your life from being born until today, crafting a social network-based biography of photos, videos, events, and milestones. Timeline also enables customization, something Facebook is not known for—but not so much customization as to allow for MySpace-esque monstrosities. As well, users can "curate history" to show only what they want to the public, friends, and family. Facebook wants your timeline to be a "digital scrapbook of your life" and a "digital resume" all in one.
