Waterloo next city to host Hackday

Hackdays have already proven to be a hit in Toronto and Ottawa, and now Waterloo is destined to be the site of the next instalment of this growing phenomenon.

Hackers and/or developers will work either together in a team or alone to build applications with publicably available APIs. APIs from local tech startups will be used, just like in past events. Representatives from the companies producing the APIs will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance as the teams and individuals work feverishly throughout the day to produce the best application.

Of course, there will be plenty of hacker fuel provided throughout the day —pizza and caffeine. This is a full day event and will feature scheduled meal breaks. Food is included with the registration price.

HackWaterloo takes place on Saturday, April 9th at the PostRank Offices from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, including registration details, click here.
