Vancouver's Wavefront announced today that they have joined the Canadian Digital Media Network (CDMN). The CDMN is working to connect organizations such as Wavefront in a nationwide network to collaborate and share digital media research, technology development and commercialization expertise.

“Becoming part of the Canadian Digital Media Network further supports Wavefront’s goal to link together regional wireless technology hubs,” said James Maynard, Wavefront President. “As wireless converges with digital media, Wavefront continues to work closely with complementary associations to support the commercialization needs of wireless small to medium-sized enterprises.”

The CDMN was formed in 2009 and is focused on increasing opportunities for companies and employment in the Canadian digital media sector. Wavefront joins other nodes in the CDMN including the Niagara Interactive Media Generator (nGen); The University of Waterloo - Stratford Campus; and The Communitech Hub: Digital Media and Mobile Accelerator.

Wavefront provides a collaboration link between small-medium wireless and new media companies across Canada, key stakeholders in the mobile ecosystem and academia and research facilities. Wavefront provides training, advisory, incubation and testing services that reduce time-to-market and accelerate time-to-revenue for wireless SMEs.
