130,000 iPad users can’t be wrong, and they’ve made the Weather Network’s WeatherEye HD app and its French counterpart, MétéoÉclair HD, into one of the top free apps for the iPad.

After shooting up to number one on the free app charts two days after its release in early January, the app has settled into the number 11 spot and continues to receive plenty of positive reviews — it remains at a four star-plus ranking on iTunes today.

Utilizing the full functionality of the iPad for its interface, the app provides all the weather you could possibly want. Detailed weather forecasts including current, short term, long term day and night, hourly forecasts and 14 day trend for whichever city you are in; video including daily forecasts, active weather coverage and top weather news stories; health reports including air quality health index, pollen report, UV report and even how bad the bugs will be; and severe weather warnings and alerts.

You can check out the iPad app on iTunes here, as well as its iPhone version.
