Web 2.0 investments in the Northwest climb

According to a recent report by Dow Jones VentureSource, investments in Pacific-Northwest-based Web 2.0 ventures grew to $140M in 2007, up from $35M in investments in 2006. The number of deals in play more than doubled.

Further:

[O]verall Web 2.0 investments in the U.S. grew to $1.34B... [T]here were 178 Web 2.0 deals in the U.S. for 2007, up 88% in dollars over 2006.
