Web Developer - Aquent

THE DAY TO DAY:

• User interface implementation, optimization and design
• Web development and maintenance of corporate websites, product micro websites, intranet and extranet
• Skining proprietary software products for clients
• Optimizing websites for search engine placement
• Drive standards and best practices at the markup layer of the web properties
• Take responsibility and ownership for timelines and deliverables

THE MUST HAVES:

• Expert-level knowledge of CSS layout
• Strong experience with JavaScript, including AJAX and at least one JS library (such as Prototype, jQuery, ExtJS)
• Working knowledge of Photoshop as it applies to web development
• Ability to take the creative layer from Photoshop files to standards compliant website
• Experience with cross browser compatibility issues and optimization
• Experience with (X)HTML, standards compliance and accessibility
• Some experience with web programming languages (C#, ASP.NET)
• Experience with Databases (MS SQL Server) an asset
• Familiar with Subversion and VPNs
• Ability to mock-up workflow diagrams, wireframes and sitemaps

This is a contract position that will begin asap and run for approximately 4-6 weeks. We are looking for candidates that can work on-site 40 hours a week during this period.
