Front-End Web Developer - Veer

Our products include stock photography, illustration, typefaces, and unique merchandise. Products are showcased in our regularly published Veer Visual Elements catalog and other promotional pieces.

As Front-end Web Developer in Calgary, you will work directly with Veer's in-house web design team and be responsible for the production of complex Flash-based applications, monthly updates, and weekly e-mails. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of abilities, an unbelievable eye for detail, and an uncanny ability to deal with a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • 2 years in web design/production
  • Proficient in XHTML/CSS
  • Proficient in ActionScript 1.0 and 2.0
  • Experience integrating PHP and XML with Flash applications
  • Comfort working with object-oriented concepts building UI and server-side classes
  • Experience designing and building complex applications in Flash

Qualifications:

  • Strong design background
  • Knowledge of and experience with motion design
  • Experience in the stock industry
