Introducing the new Techvibes.com

Posted by Rob Lewis

Today we're pleased to welcome you back to the new redesigned, rewritten, and realigned Techvibes.com.

As you may know, Techvibes was acquired by Internet entrepreneurs Boris Wertz and Geoff Hampson in 2007 with the goal of realigning it as a hyper-local technology news blog and community. While this blog was launched 16 months ago, the main Techvibes website dates back to 2002 and was due for a serious makeover.

The new Techvibes site fully integrates the best features of the old site - Company Directory, Job Board, and Events Calendar - with our successful Techvibes blog. And the new Techvibes homepage reflects our primary focus – a hyper-local technology blog covering your city. Improvements to the site include:

  • Ability to choose between per-city local content or all-city global content
  • RSS feeds for blog posts, blog comments, jobs, and events
  • Improved site search
  • Google Maps integration
  • And more...

If you had a user account on the old site, your user account and content has been migrated to the new site and you’ll be receiving an email from us today with your new login ID (your email address) and a new password. Look out for it.

We welcome you back to the new Techvibes and encourage you to look around and let us know what you think of the new site. This would also be a great time to make sure your company's listing is up-to-date.
