How are businesses being valued in today’s economic climate? What trends are affecting those valuations? How can you tell the value of your own company?

Questions like these will be answered at the next professional development event from Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA), “The Great Valuation Debate.” This half-day seminar will empower business owners, investors and entrepreneurs to make better and more informed decisions by giving them the tools to gauge a value of companies in different sectors and of different stages of growth.

This event is being held in Toronto, but companies in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax can register to tune in to this conference via video.

Speaking at this event will be a panel of experts, including:

  • Chris Arsenault, managing partner, iNovia Capital
  • Eric Berke, managing partner, TorQuest Partners
  • Richard Bradlow, partner, Penfund Partners
  • Scott MacDonald, partner, Emerald Technology Ventures
  • Sandy Scott, principal, Tandem Expansion Fund
  • Peter van der Velden, president and CEO, Lumira Capital
  • Steven Zucchet, senior vice-president, Borealis Infrastructure

The Great Valuation Debate takes place February 23rd from 1:30–5:00 p.m. at the Toronto Board of Trade. A networking cocktail reception will follow. For more information, or to register for either the conference in Toronto or the video conference in other major Canadian cities, click here.
