So there are startups everywhere these days, all over the world, ranging from solo endeavours to rapidly growing teams of dozens of people. But when most people think of a job, or even a career, they imagine climbing a corporate ladder in a medium to large business. So who are the people behind these tiny little budding companies?
Gist compiled research to find out and published its findings in an infographic titled Human Capital: Who Works for a Startup? Turns out, the most common age range for a startup's founding team is 35 to 44—just 4% are the Brian Wongs of the world, 18 to 25 year olds launching companies. 25% come from either sales and marketing or product development roles in the past, and 39% have been founders or CEOs before.
