Will RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook 2 boast an iPad-sized screen?

According to some inside sources in contact with BGR, Waterloo's Research In Motion plans to launch its next BlackBerry PlayBook by the end of this year.

But it may not be a second-gen model - rather, insiders suggest it will be a 10-inch tablet to give consumers more choice.

The PlayBook, which is arguably the best tablet next to Apple's iPad, has a 7-inch screen, while the iPad has a 10-inch screen. And while it isn't yet clear which size is truly the consumer preference, it certainly can't hurt to offer both options.

Meanwhile, however, the BlackBerry Bold Touch looks to be delayed until at least August, and next-gen Torches and Curves - which some expected to announced at BlackBerry World 2011 - are apt not to be announced until October, during BlackBerry's development conference, despite public leaks of the devices in action last month.
