Wind Mobile celebrates anniversary with $1 contract-free BlackBerrys for Vancouverites

Vancouverite CrackBerry addicts, rejoice!

Wind Mobile is celebrating its one-year anniversary by offering Vancouverites BlackBerry 9700s for just one dollar. Now for anyone thinking "The Big Three have already been selling these for free!" remember that Wind is contract-free. Do note, however, that these devices will be "lightly loved"—AKA refurbished.

Anthony Lacavera, chairman of Wind, and Ken Campbell, CEO, will both be on site the day of anniversary. It's this Friday, starting at 10am, at Wind's Yaletown location (that's 116 Davie Street).

All proceeds from the $1 phones will be donated to the Vancouver Covenant House.
