Calgary-based  Multiplied Media announced this morning that WIND Mobile will be including a preloaded icon for their Poynt mobile local search application on subscribers' BlackBerry smartphones.

"Our subscribers seek the best solutions on the market and Poynt is a leading location-based application for BlackBerry smartphones," said Scott Campbell, Chief Marketing Officer of WIND Mobile. "Providing easy access to Poynt for our BlackBerry subscribers is another example of how we not only listen to customers' suggestions, but act on them."

Poynt is a convenient and timesaving GPS-enabled application that connects consumers to local businesses, people, restaurants and movie theaters at the moment they want to buy or acquire products or services. Poynt gives consumers the ability to move beyond discovery of their local area to view movie trailers and showtimes, book dining reservations, view directions on a map, click-to-call the business or view their website.

Poynt is also available on BlackBerry App World or via over-the-air download at m.poynt.com from the BlackBerry Browser to BlackBerry smartphone owners in Canada, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Spain.
