Winnipeg-born iPhone holder needs your help to get KickStarted
The Winnipeg Jets have revealed their new logo and Canada’s most well-known hockey fan (and military booster) says the new Winnipeg Jets logo is a beauty. CBC television commentator Don Cherry gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to the new Jets emblem, which he says looks great while showing respect to those who risk their lives, and die, for Canada.
The Jets unveiled their new designs late Friday and the next day the Jets Gear store at the MTS Centre sold all 1,900 hats it had brought in. By mid-day Saturday, the team had processed more than 1,200 on-site transactions and expected to be sold out of all the rest of the nearly $200,000 of stock before the end of the day.
Not a Winnipeg Jets fan? You can still wear something from Winnipeg on your chest.
The Move is a holder for the iPhone 4 or iPod touch that enables you to attach your device anywhere on your clothing (and it won't affect the material in any way). There are NO straps/clips/velcro/magnets required, only the screen of your iPhone 4/iPod touch will be visible.
Product designers Jon and Lenny hail from Winnipeg and have submitted the Move to funding site KickStarter.com. They have raised over $3,600 of their $25,000 fundraising goal with 28 days to raise the remainder. $25,000 will allow them to create an injection mold to mass produce The Move with a local Winnipeg .
Congrats to Jon and Lenny on a unique solution to a problem evey iPhone owner is familiar with. Pledge $25 or more and you'll receive your Move when funding is successful.
