Fortune Cat Studios was an interesting and unique idea, but unfortunately, it didn't last.

The non-profit organization was incubator for video game start-ups that provided free office space and computers.

However, according to the Winnipeg Free Press, the incubator has failed to receive additional funding from both the private and public sector and willing be closing its doors sometime in the next few months.

Since the studio opened in 2006, eight gaming companies were able to get started through the incubator.
