Canadian Contest Asks Startups to Make Worst Commercial Possible

A video advertising agency is asking Canadian startups to make the most terrible commercial they can.

George Briggs Media, a startup out of Communitech in Waterloo, says the winner—the startup with the worst commercial—will win a commercial professional produced by the agency. In addition the Top 10 companies will receive a $500 credit against future work with George Briggs.

"You have to make a video in under 60 seconds of the best idea but in the most terrible way," explains Alexander Marshall in a YouTube video. "We want to share our insights on the industry. "We don't want to see high production value. We don't want to see well-thought out, well-executed ideas. You can do it on your iPhone."

Interested startups can dropbox their videos to George Briggs Media before March 1, which is when voting ends.
