xtranormal brings 3D avatars to content creation

Video is exploding on the web, with millions of users creating content for a worldwide audience. But not everyone wants to appear in front of the camera, and some content is better suited to a more abstract aesthetic. Montreal-based xtranormal is a web-based application that lets users manipulate avatars within pre-configured environments in order to create newscasts, movie clips, and talk shows, as well as for online communication. The company will be demoing their product tomorrow at DEMO 08, and will soon be running a private beta, which is open for pre-registration at xtranormal.com.
