Toronto's Yangaroo announced today the two-year extension of its agreement with Warner Music Canada for distribution of promotional music and music videos to radio, television, press, and other destinations via Yangaroo's Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS). Warner Music has been using DMDS commercially in Canada since 2004.

"As I have said in the past, DMDS is the gold standard for digital delivery and we are happy to extend our agreement with YANGAROO," said Steve Kane, President and CEO Warner Music Canada. "The Canadian music industry has led the world in the move to digital delivery of promotional music. It is more efficient, less expensive and far more environmentally friendly."

The extension of the agreement into 2011 demonstrates the strong partnership that Yangaroo and Warner Music have built. No word yet on how competitor Destiny Media Technologies feels about the extension. Look out for a press release.
