Yellow Pages Group today announced that it has enhanced its ShopWise mobile app, which pinpoints the hottest deals on products and services nearby a given location. It's also been released for Google's Android and RIM's BlackBerry platforms after originally launching on Apple's iOS for iPhone.
According to YPG, ShopWise helps Canadians shop smarter and save time and money by allowing them to benefit from deals around them using one of the largest deals database in Canada. ShopWise’s "unparalleled deals inventory" offers thousands of deals weekly from major retail chain stores to small, local boutiques.
Some of the new enhancements to ShopWise for iPhone include new browsing functionality by coupons and freebies, the ability to rate deals and create shopping lists, and add favourite stores.
“ShopWise continues to be a huge hit and answers a definite need for Canadians to find nearby deals for the products and services they want while they are on-the-go," said Nicolas Gaudreau, Chief Marketing Officer, Yellow Pages Group. “ShopWise clearly illustrates the ongoing digital transformation of Yellow Pages Group and represents another innovative, high-value product which helps advertisers reach the right customer at the right time with the right offer.”
ShopWise launched for iOS in the fall of 2011 and saw 100,000 downloads in its first month with an average of rating of 4.5. It has been featured on Apple's App Stpre as a Best App of the Week.
