ZipLocal.com to call Vancouver home

Business in Vancouver's Glen Korstrom reported in this week that Vancouver will be the new home of ZipLocal.com. The US phone directory publisher with $115 Million in annual revenue is set to base its head office in Vancouver thanks to Former Canpages CEO Olivier Vincent who is now at the helm.

Vincent was CEO of Canpages and orchestrated the Burnaby-based company’s $225 Million sale to Yellow Pages Income Fund. Yellow Pages did not require that Vincent stay with the parent company so he is free to expand ZipLocal.com.

Expect Vincent's ZipLocal to tap into the Yellow Pages’ GigPark technology which facilitates peer reviews of restaurants and other services. Vincent was instrumental in acquiring the Toronto startup last summer while at CanPages.

Vincent’s head office team is currently 10 people strong but he is hiring soon and looking for people with digital technology experience.
