MaxOS™ Linux is an easy to install and easy to use operating system with a graphical interface, that brings the user to a desktop environment filled with numerous applications and utilities.
MaxOS was designed to run on Pentium class PC's. MaxOS was also designed to bring Linux to Windows™ users who are tired of the 'blue screen of death' and the need for several reboots a day. MaxOS is a stable, versatile, and true multi-tasking desktop environment. MaxOS can be installed by a novice to allow for dual booting with Windows on the user's PC. Once a user is in MaxOS, they can choose between a number of applications, such as StarOffice™ (a full office suite), RealPlayer™, or VMware™ (which allows for the use of Windows programs in Linux), to name a few. MaxOS uses the Netscape browser, and has a large number of features that are sure to delight.
Besides the technical excellence of MaxOS, Alta Terra (the "Company") has entered into a number of strategic alliances, called the 'Canadian Linux Alliance™'. Companies such as Mosaic Technologies and Red-Tail Information Technologies will provide MaxOS CD's with their Linux training packages, and Red-Tail is proposing to do a MaxOS Certification. Because Alta Terra is seeking to take over a chunk of the Windows users market, providing good educational tools for Linux is an important feature of the MaxOS marketing philosophy.
